Stay Healthy Working at Night

Because of the demands of competition or the demands of work, many people now have to work at night in various professions. From start to security personnel, health workers, until the merchant. Whether it's all working time is always done at night or sometimes get a night shift. Working at night, have many differences with the work in the daytime. Body less able to adjust to working nights and sleeping during the day.








One example is feeling tired at work at night is relatively higher than working during the day. Rest / sleep during the day can not equal quality sleep at night because of the large disturbance in the afternoon. Working at night also increases the risk of decline in endurance, high blood pressure, obesity, peptic ulcers, and heart problems. Therefore, efforts need to be done to keep the body healthy which also prevent accidents during & after work for those who work in the evening or night shifts often have, namely:



  • Dinner before 7 pm or 2 hours before starting shift
  • Reduce snack / snacking during work
  • If you feel hungry at work, eat during the break and in small amounts
  • Eat & drink each day should still be varied, full of nutrients and fiber, are also balanced in number
  • Exercise regularly 2-3 times a week
  • Just drink during the workday.
  • Avoid drinking liquids that contain sugar and caffeine during work at night
  • Do not smoke during working
  • Use a coat when the temperature felt cool & set the room temperature of 24-25 degrees Celsius
  • Before starting work & in the middle of working time / rest time, use 15-20 minutes for a nap
  • Not using any drugs to reduce / prevent drowsiness while working
  • Sleep 6-8 hours each day, at the same hour in the room that is free disturbance
  • Set the room lighting and monitor brightness is too bright
  • Rest for 5 minutes every 1 hour working with computers to see far and close your eyes
  • Use dark glasses when I go home in the morning
  • Try not to drive their own vehicles at home from work tonight
  • Turn to work at night is not recommended for pregnant & lactating women
  • If you're having health problems, do not hesitate to consult a doctor immediately

What To Do To Stay Healthy?

Everything we do, everything we eat, drink, certainly affect our health. Many diseases, including dangerous, like cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung disease, or accidents can all be prevented or detected early. Here are things you can do to prevent and early detection of various diseases: 

  • Do not smoke or use tobacco. Cigarettes / tobacco is one of the most dangerous thing for humans. 




  • Reduce the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Too much consumption of alcohol can damage the liver / liver, gastrointestinal tract, and can increase the risk of esophageal and liver cancer / liver. Drunk alcoholic beverages was due to become one of the main causes of traffic accidents, homicide, and suicide. 
  • Eat in sufficient quantities, nutritionally complete, balanced, and varied. If we know the first 5 perfect healthy '4 ', then in the present, a good diet is full of nutrition, variety type, and balanced in number. Reduce consumption of high fat foods and use salt / seasoning flavor (MSG) in large quantities. Fluid and fiber intake should be sufficient. 
  • Lower your weight if your weight excess / obesity. Being overweight can cause high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, biliary disease, arthritis, etc.. Foods that are good for those who are overweight are foods high in fiber and low in fat. In addition, regular exercise can help weight loss. Lose weight slowly and consistently, so the body remains healthy. 
  • Exercise. Sport / physical activity on a regular basis to prevent heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, depression, colon cancer, stroke, and so on. In addition, the body will feel more refreshed and stable weight. Exercise for 30-60 minutes, 2-4 times per week. 
  • Control blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, etc.. To control blood pressure, try to exercise, lower weight, reduce consumption of salt / flavor (MSG), do not smoke, and drink the blood pressure-lowering drugs your doctor prescribes.
  • Visit your family doctor / subscription you regularly for routine examinations. Diseases such as prostate cancer, cervix, breast, colon, etc. can be known from the beginning through a routine examination by a physician, so that the disease is more manageable. Further investigation may also be made for those who have the risk of certain diseases.
